Circular technologies in construction (2024)
- Developed by: European Commission
- Description: "The report emphasizes the importance of standardisation in promoting circular construction and the circular economy. It discusses the need for future standardisation and pre-normative research for circular construction in terminology, metrology, such as indicators, performance characterisation, compatibility and operability assessments."

National Circularity Assessment Framework for Buildings (2024)
- Developed by: UN Environment Programme
- Description: "The National Circularity Assessment Framework for Buildings serves as a comprehensive toolkit to support countries in assessing circularity within their building sectors. It provides both quantitative and qualitative assessments through a set of indicators and a structured questionnaire, helping to identify gaps and priorities for improving circular material and waste flows, reducing environmental impacts, and enhancing economic and social benefits."

Product Circularity Data Sheet (PCDS, 2024)
- Developed by: The Luxembourg government
- Description: "The Product Circularity Data Sheet (PCDS) is a basic source of verifiable data. It can be used to establish how circular a product is and inform about the circular path it was designed and manufactured for. The PCDS offers a standardized format with trustful data without scoring or ranking of these aspects. The PCDS is a three-fold system:
- A data template containing standardized and trustworthy statements on the product circularity
- A third-party verification process to validate the content of the PCDS (audit system)
- A standardized data exchange protocol based on decentralized data storage (IT system)

FutureBuilt Circular - criteria for circular buildings (April 2023)
- Developed by: FutureBuilt
- Description: "FutureBuilt quality criteria encompass several topics that are central to the development of the sustainable city. The criteria are compiled in the overarching document "FutureBuilt kvalitetskriterier" and elaborated in separate thematic criteria documents. All documents can be downloaded from www.futurebuilt.no"

Measuring Circularity Guide (Version 3.0 – 30 June 2022)
- Developed by: Platform CB'23
- Description: "Measuring circularity is considered to be a prerequisite for the transition towards a circular
construction economy. This guide contains a method to enable this: the Platform CB’23 measurement
method. The guide expands on two previous editions published in the summers of 2019 and 2020." - Link: https://platformcb23.nl/#lexicon-circulaire-bouw
The environmental impact of reuse in the construction sector (Sept 2021)
- Developed by: FutuREuse
- Description: "The present booklet therefore begins by setting out how to quantify the environmental impact of a reclaimed
construction product in line with European standards. We go on to show why simply assessing the global warming potential (in terms of the CO2 equivalent released into the atmosphere) is not enough to give a full overview of this environmental impact. We set out several case studies, and end with some points to note when assessing the environmental performance of reclaimed products." - Link: https://opalis.eu/sites/default/files/2022-02/FCRBE-booklet-01-environmental_impact-EN.pdf
DRAFT
Measuring Circular Buildings (2022)
- Developed by: World Business Council for Sustainable Development
- Description: Building on WBCSD’s Circular Transition Indicators methodology, this draft white paper is a first step toward creating a unified framework for the built environment, setting out key considerations for measuring circular buildings. It defines what companies need to measure, how to measure it and how to interpret the results to assess how circular a building is.

7 Proposals for a Circular Built Environment
- Developed by: METROPOLIS
- Link (see pages 7-9, Circularity Score): https://metropolismag.com/viewpoints/7-proposals-for-a-circular-built-environment/
- Description: "In July and August [2024] METROPOLIS brought together visionaries from across the building industry for its Circular Future Hackathon, aimed at reimagining how we design and construct in a way that aligns with circular design principles... Representatives and sustainability experts across global firms, manufacturers, and industry organizations joined forces to tackle the building sector’s greatest circularity obstacles... In the months that followed, METROPOLIS shaped these concepts into comprehensive scenarios. You can view these seven forward-thinking solutions for a more sustainable and circular future in the built environment here."
